Cream Catalyst & The Together Project
We live in an era in which many members of our society feel isolated, ostracised or lonely. The Together Project believes that social integration is key to breaking down the barriers that keep us apart. Louise Goulden started the charity with a mission to change the way we see the generational divide. Having experienced firsthand the power of inter-generational connection during a chance encounter on the bus with her newborn child, she felt compelled to do something more. Soon after, the Together Project was born. The idea is simple; they organise intergenerational activities that unite people who might not normally come into regular contact, with a focus on fun and friendship.
The Together Project approached Cream Catalyst in December 2023 with a challenge that many organisations in the sector face, what defines my target audience, and how do I articulate my unique proposition to them in a way that feels authentic to the brand DNA. Working closely with the Catalyst teams, we first set about investigating who the dream beneficiaries of the charity might be, building hypotheses around location and life stage to understand priority audiences. Armed with actionable audience insights, we latterly ran brand messaging workshops with the senior team, to identify and distill the key messages that captured the charity’s brand essence. This central brand framework acted as the blueprint to enable design and copy teams to re-design a clearer and more effective articulation of the charity’s core mission.
"Cream are just awesome to work with. Friendly, collaborative, full of ideas and so generous with their time. The impact of a top-class agency's impact on a small charity is immense".
Louise Golden, Founder of the Together Project.
